Insurance Report
Generate a printable summary for insurance purposes. Includes total count, estimated value, and detailed listing.
How to Use RecordShelf
RecordShelf helps you catalog vinyl records systematically. Start by adding albums with artist, title, year, label, and condition. The condition grade determines estimated value - Mint copies are worth full retail while Poor copies may only be worth 10%.
To add an album, fill the form and click Add. The collection table shows all entries. Click column headers to sort. Use Export CSV to download your data or Print Report for insurance documentation.
The stats panel updates automatically. Track your collection growth over time. For insurance claims, generate the formal report which includes a timestamp and summary of your holdings.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Overgrading condition - Be honest about wear and tear
- Forgetting to save - Data stays in your browser only
- Not updating values - Market prices change regularly
Why This Matters
Vinyl collections represent significant investments. Proper documentation helps with insurance claims, estate planning, and informed selling decisions. Having organized records also helps you appreciate your collection more fully.
